Vreid – Skies Turn Black [2LP] (Marbled Vinyl)

Five years after their last release, Vreid return with The Skies Turn Black, arriving March 6, 2026, marking a renewed creative chapter for one of Norway’s most enduring metal bands. Across eleven tracks, the album reconnects with the band’s Sognametal roots while expanding their sound, sparked by early standouts like “From These Woods” and the deeply personal title track written by Jarle Kvle as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Cinematic elements surface on “Kraken, ” composed for an upcoming film project, while “Loving the Dead” pushes new territory with a guest appearance by Agnete Kjlsrud of Djerv. Featuring hand-drawn artwork by Kim Holm and production by Anders Nordengen, The Skies Turn Black stands as a focused, powerful statement of resilience and renewed creative fire.
