Here’s a solid Canadian pressing of Bing Crosby’s “The Best Of Bing” from MCA’s 1977 catalog one of the more thoughtfully curated compilations from Der Bingle’s vast discography. This particular collection draws heavily from his golden period with Decca Records, featuring those effortless vocal performances that basically invented the crooner archetype. What sets this apart from the countless other Crosby compilations is MCA’s access to the original Decca masters after their acquisition, meaning you’re getting excellent source material rather than the dubbed copies that plagued many earlier reissues.
